ITAC e-Work Guide

The "e-Work Guide: How to Make Telework Work for Your Organization" is a 100-page report on recommended practices, compiled by telework experts who served on a Blue Ribbon Panel formed by ITAC.  The e-Work Guide covers:

  • Costs and Benefits of Implementing Telework
  • Program Management: The Overall Process
  • Human Resource Management in the Remote Work Environment
  • Legal and Employment Issues
  • Environmental and Facilities Concerns
  • Information Technology Considerations

The Guide, published in the fall of 2000, also includes a comprehensive survey of 352 managers in organizations that sponsor telework programs, conducted by the American Management Association in cooperation with ITAC.

The Blue Ribbon Panel consisted of business executives from 21 prominent organizations that recognize the changing nature of work, the workplace, and the worker. Chair of this committee was Dr. Nancy L. deLay of Eli Lilly and Company, ITAC's Vice President.

The e-Work Guide has been published with the support and sponsorship of the Consumers Electronics Association, a full-service trade association in the business of organizing, promoting and operating trade shows, exhibits, conferences and seminars, especially those particularly related to the electronics and high technology industry.
