ITAC About Telework America

Telework America was originally established as Telecommute America in 1995 -- a public-private effort of representatives from government, non-profit and corporate entities bound by their mutual interest in advancing the nation's knowledge and understanding of this workplace option.

Since then Telework America has become ITAC’s promotional and educational program of telework for North America.

In 2003, Telework America will feature the Research Report, Teleworking Comes of Age with Broadband and four quarterly Webinars. The first Webinar in 2003 was conducted on April 22 entitled Managing Performance Remotely.

ITAC’s goal is to expand Telework America in 2004 through partnerships with other associations and government agencies to conduct public and employee events during a designated Telework America Week next spring. For more information on Telework America Week in 2004, contact ITAC Executive Director Robert Smith at [email protected].
