A summary of the Booz Allen Hamilton study prepared for GSA
is available at <http://www.telework.gov>.
Also, you can sign up for a free telework newsletter from
the GSA at that same site.
For summary details on the webinar topic and presenters,
please see below.
This free virtual seminar will explore the following:
- Impact of bandwidth of residential network
services on telework efficiency,
- Performance challenges faced with client-server
applications in a home-based telework environment,
- Management issues involving the coordination
of telework managers/HR personnel and IT staff, and
- Security concerns from home-based teleworkers
network access.
While the report analyzes U.S. federal telework programs,
many of the findings are applicable to the private sector
as well. Attendees will learn why technology is not currently
a serious barrier to telework growth, but how technology can
be such a barrier in the future without proper planning. Attendees
will be able to ask questions of the presenters during the
Webinar.
