Planning Issues in Telework Implementation
Sponsored by ITAC

(PlaceWare
per-slide audio)
Duration: 90 minutes
Is the office going away? Will everyone work at home in his
or her blue jeans? Not likely - even after the shocking events
of this fall. We'll still have offices and we'll still go
to them. But the office is quickly becoming just one place
- not the only place - to do "office work." The
more portable our work becomes and the more we understand
the benefits of decentralizing the office, the more options
employers have for developing new approaches to facilities
planning.
Most telework in the U.S. takes place in employees' homes,
but that's far from the only alternative available. And even
within the office itself, we're seeing dramatic changes in
how and where people work and collaborate - the days of fixed
walls and Dilbert-esque cubicle farms are fading away quickly.
During this PlaceWare presentation, you will learn about:
- Why Telework Isn't Just Home Work - John
Vivadelli
- How to Design the Telework-Friendly Office - Tim
Kane
- Why the Centralized Office is Here to Stay - With
Changes - Richard Hobbs
