TELEWORK ASSOCIATION
LAUNCHES NEW WEB SITE
WITH EXPANDED MEMBERS AREA
WASHINGTON, Oct. 21, 2002
- Today ITAC, the association for advancing work from anywhere,
unveiled a completely redesigned and re-architected Web site,
with a new address that reflects its broader mission: www.workingfromanywhere.org.
Complementing the new public site is an expanded Members-Only
area, where members can easily communicate and collaborate
with each other, keep track of and register for meetings and
events, learn about breaking news and special announcements,
and access useful research and case studies.
From the new site, the public can learn about the latest
developments at the leading association for working from anywhere
and have access to a wide range of information on telework.
Specifically, visitors can:
- Access lists of ITAC members and link to their web sites;
- View the latest ITAC e-mail newsletter and subscribe
to future newsletters;
- Sign up for future Webinars and review presentations
from past events;
- Find links to local, state and federal agencies supporting
telework;
- Join ITAC online; and
- Access a wide range of information resources that includes
an 11-part online workshop on developing and operating a
telework program.
Members have their own private site where they can subscribe
to the members-only discussion listservs. To start with, ITAC
is fielding two listservs: one for representatives of Agency
members, and one for representatives of Telework User member
companies. These listservs have been set up to foster community
and communications among members with these two common interests.
The members-only site also offers exclusive information for
member representatives, including the 1999 and 2000 Telework
America Survey Reports, sponsored by AT&T, which can be
downloaded free by members, and dozens of telework case studies,
including several that were exclusively developed for ITAC
and its members.
"We know our members are busy people who need to make
the most of their time online. said Tim Kane, ITAC President
and President of Kinetic Workplace. "Accordingly, we've
made it easier for our members to access the broad range of
information and networking resources available to them on
both the public and members-only segments of the new site."
Mr. Kane added, "ITAC's Web site is one of the most
authoritative sites on the Internet covering the ways organizations
are supporting their employees to work at home, on the road,
at a client's office, in telecenters and/or even at an employer's
satellite office. We are committed to continually expanding
the content available from our site in order to fulfill our
mission of advancing work from anywhere."
