| The
Society for Human Resource Management / ITAC Partnership
The partnership between ITAC and SHRM provides cost-savings
benefits for members of both associations.
ITAC members can now
join SHRM and save $15 off of their first year’s
dues. Annual membership fee is now $145. ITAC members will
also be able to attend the SHRM Annual Conference at a preferred
rate.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the
world’s largest association devoted to human resource
management. Representing more than 170,000 individual members,
the Society’s mission is both to serve human resource
management professionals and to advance the profession. Founded
in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 500 affiliated chapters
within the United States and members in more than 120 countries.
Visit www.shrm.org for
more information.
SHRM Members can now join ITAC and save $100 off of their
dues as Telework User members. Further, SHRM members do not
have to join ITAC to receive 20% off the nonmember cost to
purchase ITAC publications such as the highly respected Telework
America Survey and Research Reports
that are free to ITAC members. SHRM members can also attend
ITAC’s Annual Conference at a reduced nonmember rate.
Joining ITAC as a User member provides the following benefits:
- Enhanced Members-Only Web site:
The newly expanded members-only area is where members can
easily communicate and collaborate with each other, keep
track of and register for meetings and events; learn about
breaking ITAC news and special announcements; and access
useful research and dozens of case studies.
- User Only Services that
include a Members-only User listserv
and the soon to be formed Telework
User Committee (TUC). Both foster community and communications
among user members with common interests.
- Telework User member companies are
listed on ITAC's
web site along with a link to their web site so that
skilled workers interested in progressive employers can
seek you out.
- A complimentary hard copy of ITAC's renowned
Telework America 2001 Research
Report (priced at $499 for non-members) -- additional
hard copies are only $30 each or members can receive a PDF
for company distribution for $75. Members can also receive
at no cost a PDF of ITAC's eWork
guide available on the members-only site. The
2002 Survey will be published during the first quarter of
this year and is evaluating the effect of broadband networks
on how people are working from home, on the road and other
locations.
- Preferred rates to ITAC's Annual
Conference. Last year's meeting took place in New
York City on September 25th, with the presentations and
networking reception applauded by the many members who attended
this event. If you were unable to attend, please visit http://www.workingfromanywhere.org/members/,
and click on "Documents" to view some of the presentations
that took place during the course of the day. We are currently
planning the 2003, 10th Anniversary Conference.
- Virtual Seminars: ITAC
offers a series of webinars on timely telework topics that
members can attend for free or exclusively. At least 6 are
planned for 2003. Our last webinar took place on November
19th which looked at how Dow Chemical converted an entire
department, its sales force, to telework. Presentations
from past webinars can be viewed here.
- Access to ITAC exclusive Telework
Case Studies that are summarized in the ITAC
Telework News, our e-mail newsletter.
